2009 Inaugural Lou DeFranco Scholarship

SOSFounders2.jpg

Lou DeFranco had a meeting at his home amongst his Sicilian friends.  He had a vision of a Sicilian Club and his friends agreed.  They stood behind Lou and his idea and dream.  The next meeting was held and the Sons of Sicily was officially formed in November of 1974.
Lou DeFranco's idea was to have a social club which shared heritage, culture, tradition and family.  To support members families and help the community.  The Aiuto Foundation was established based on this premise.  In celebration of the Sons of Sicily's 35th Anniversay, the Aiuto Foundation has designated the TOP educational scholarship as the "Lou DeFranco Scholarship."
